CALGARY, Canada, May 7, 2002 Godspeed Computing Inc. based in Calgary will launch a handheld e-Bible this summer. The product is the result of a joint effort with the Korea ebook company.
The e-Bible provides a powerful reading and studying experience in a simple and personal handheld device.
Study Tools and Music
Being first and foremost an electronic Bible, the eBible will come preloaded with mobile Bible software that allows for word and topical searches as well as cross referencing with concordances, commentaries, Bible maps, and devotionals. Featuring a large (320x480) backlit LCD display with touch screen, the eBible will be the ideal reading platform for Christian reference material as well as fiction and non-fiction books from leading Christian authors.
The built-in MP3 player also allows users to listen to the Bible, audio books, Christian music, and recorded sermons from a local church or even one from across the country. Other features include audio recording, scheduler, address book and calculator.
"In our extensive search for a hardware platform, the hiebook [technology from Korea] emerged as the obvious choice over other devices in its class. By basing the Godspeed eBible on the hiebook we inherit a rich feature set, sleek design and affordable price point making it a very compelling tool for Christians around the world." said Godspeed President & CEO, Mark Sears.
